| Louise Block is an artist/designer working mainly in flat glass
and in ceramics. Her work is divided between making gallery and commission
work, a glass jewellery business, and freelance teaching with school
groups and community organizations.
The glass jewellery range is sold wholesale to shops and galleries. Leaded and fused glass window commissions include work for Bristol Children’s Hospital, for Holy Cross Church, Inn’s Court, and private domestic commissions. Her sculptural ceramics have been exhibited in galleries in New York and London. She continues the educational side of her work providing workshops in school and community settings. Workshops have been provided for Bristol City Museum, the WOMAD festival, Prema, and numerous schools in Bristol, Gloucestershire and Northern Spain. |
